The UNESCO Creative Cities Network is a program established in 2004 to deepen and promote cooperation between cities that recognize creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable development in terms of economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects.
Today, network members have 180 cities from 72 countries that develop cultural industries such as folk art, design, cinema, gastronomy, literature, media art and music.
Guidance and application form are available on the UNESCO website - https://en.unesco.org/creative-cities/content/call-applications.
We draw attention to the fact that one of the key requirements is the support of candidates by the National Commission for UNESCO.
The deadline for submission of an application to the UNESCO Secretariat is 30 June 2019.
