Dear Partners!

Berestove amalgamated community is one of the first formed in Zaporizhzhya region. We have taken a course on independent development of our own improvement and well-being.

Today, we are taking the first steps towards a new life in a decentralized environment. The government has entrusted us to choose by ourselves and be elected, to define the priority tasks, to form budgets and to use them rationally.
How will our citizens live? How will institutions of education, health care, culture, roads, etc. be financed? Now it depends on each of us. We must ensure that our youth return to the countryside, because the most ambitious, smart, energetic youth is our future. We need conditions that should be created for their living, rest, working to do this.

Together with the deputy corps and all the patriots of our community we are aimed to make the village authorities opened and comprehensive for everyone and to strengthen work effectiveness of local self-government in order to make it closer to the European standards.

Together we must defeat corruption and attract investors to our villages. We need to revive the promotion of small and medium-sized businesses. We have to improve tasks in different areas of our community development: the material base of hospital ambulatories and paramedic posts; the competitiveness of our educational institutions; kindergartens; roads and street lighting; quality of public transport; culture and spirituality. We need to implement energy-saving technologies faster and more widely, establish utility company, create service cooperatives, which will enable us to develop our territories.

This is our common path, which we can manage in case we are together, like all the other challenges ahead. Only together, by joint work, we can change life of the community for better.

DESCRIPTION OF THE COMMUNITY

The Berestove amalgamated community is located in the northeastern part of Berdyansk district of Zaporizhzhya region. Its territory is 499.79 km².




 
Community on the map
There are the ancient crystalline rocks that appear on the surface of the river valleys, ravines and beams in AC. Also there are minerals such as: granites, graphite, loam, clay, sand.
Community soils are low-humus black soil, as well as salt-bearing, sandy and sandy soils.
The community belongs to a very arid moderately hot agro-climatic zone. The climate is continental. The average January temperature is -4 ° C, in July it is +23.5 ° C. The period with temperatures above +10 ° C is 178 days. Precipitation is 391-434 mm per year, 60% of which falls in the warm period of the year. The height of the snow cover is 10 cm.
There is Berda river which flows into the Azov Sea and its tributary - Berestovka.

Economy structure

Plant growing, animal husbandry.
The community has 44 agricultural enterprises. The main branches of plant growing are growing of cereals (winter wheat, barley (spring + winter), corn, millet), growing of oilseeds (sunflower, winter rapeseed, flax, mustard), growing spices (coriander). Private peasant farms are engaged in vegetable growing (tomatoes, cabbage, potatoes, beets, carrots, cucumbers, etc.).
 


The main export position is agricultural raw materials, import - ready-made food, fuel and energy products, agricultural machinery and vehicles, household appliances and polymer (plastics) goods, textile materials and products, medical products. Trade services are provided by about 30 functioning retail outlets, including 26 stores, 4 pharmacies.
